So, about five months ago I came across a limited edition guitar that I really wanted. I told my dad about it (since I like to talk about music and stuff with him). Due to bills and life and stuff, I couldn't afford the guitar, but I continued to find ways to save a little money here and there in hopes of one day being able to buy it. (we're talking an $800 guitar...). Well, for Christmas this year, my father gave my mother the guitar! My mother can't even play guitar, nor does she want to learn. Now, every opportunity that arises, my parents remind me that the guitar I wanted so badly was given to my mother. To me, it feels like a low-blow... a cold-hearted move. I just want to try to understand what kind of thought process or psychological issue a person has to have in order to do that to someone. Maybe it will help me deal with this (surprisingly common) behavior.
