Phyiscally NO. Mentally in moderation. You get no cardio from sitting on a couch and your eyesight will take a beating from straining and focusing so hard on an illuminated screen for too long. The mental part that may help you is training you to focus intently an ddeveloping eye to hand co-ordination and reflexes. But like most addictive attractions it must be done in moderation or it can be harmful. Life is happening outside and you become a hermit and uninformed or aware of how life is passing you by. Anything can be harmful to us if we over-do it.
